Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Minor - green card
I came to US in 2004 and stay over my visa. My sister told me she would take care of my daughter. My daughter came in 2005 when she was 15 years. She live in another state with my sister a US citizen and went to school until June 2007 when she graduate HS. My sister has been ill during that time and she was helping her. She wants to help her get to stay. My daughter was 18 in September. What can my sister do for my daughter to get green card?

Re: Minor - green card
Your sister could have adopted your daughter had she legally adopted her before she turned 16. Your daughters options now are very limited, I would have to know more details to advise you.
