Permanent resident long stay outside US
I am a 10-yr-valid-green card holder. How long can I stay continuously outside the US before coming back here? Do I need a reentry permit or some other document to reenter? Will a long stay outside delay me to become a US citizen? and how?

Re: Permanent resident long stay outside US
If you stay more than 6 months outside the US your LPR status is in danger and the presumption that you intended to abandon your status will kick in. You may apply for re-entry permit which allows you to stay outside for a year, however it will break your continuity for citizenship which will delay your citizenship application.
