Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
can someone put in removal procedure because he was convicted for a driving with a suspended license 6 years ago he did not get arrested that day but he paid a fine. He wants to apply for citizenship.

The answer is yes if you do not have legal status in the U.S. However, if he is a resident, then he should be able to apply for citizenship since there is no mens rea requirement in this type of crime.
