Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

I recently got married to someone from my country (Trinidad and Tobago). He does not have a Visa. I have been travelling back and forth visiting him. How can he obtain a Visa while I am filing papers for him?

The U.S. Consulate will not issue your husband a visitor visa as he has an intention to reside permanently in the U.S, and this is not compatible with visitor visa status.

You must petition for your husband by filing the appropriate paperwork with the USCIS, and in this instance the recommended category is K3. The Consulate will then issue your husband a K3 visa to allow him to join you in the U.S.
