Have any restrictions be placed on green cards that were issued many years ago that do not have expiration dates?

If your "greencard " is over 10 yrs old, I still recommend filing Form I-90 to re-new it. Otherwise, I am unaware of any restrictions. You might also want to consider filing for naturalization, if you qualify.
