What Are My Rights
Hi i am 24 years old i was born in guyana, i am in america using my residential alian card. my card expires in 2012. i am now 24 and i am having lots of problems with my mother. i am going to move out on my own. my mother said if i do she will call people to stop my alian card and deport me. all i want to do is grow up wnd live as an adult, now that i am 24 can my mother really do that. or can i move out on my own and still be legal, since my alien card is good till 2012? thank you

Re: What Are My Rights
A 24 year old man in America has a strong moral responsibility to act with love, compassion, and respect towards his mother. But he has no legal obligations at all.
In the same way, your mother can make few problems for you with your immigration status.
Good luck.
