Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
hi. I came in the u.s sept 25/1991. I marry a us citizen in 2000. but I bid not get my green card. the only thing get was my work premt. can I file for a green my self?

You cannot self-petition, unless you were battered by the U.S. citizen spouse. However, I am curious to know how you were issued a work permit. Was your previous case denied? Were you ever put in deportation proceedings? Are you still married to the U.S. citizen now? I really cannot advise you of any potential immigration options you may have until I know more about your situation.
