Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
I am from a former Soviet republic and was granted asylum 3 years ago based on political persecution. I have my green card and have 2 young children were born in the US. I am afraid to return but my partner and I would like to send my children to my home country with a close family friend so as to meet my parents (their grandparents). I don't think there would be an issue because as brutal as the government there can be with dissidents, it does not persecute uninvolved family members or young children. The worst I could expect is for them to be turned away at the border.
My worry is that the US might strip me of my Green Card because I sent children to visit my parents in my home country. Is there any chance of this happening?
