Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
I want to sponsor my fiance. I am a u.s.a citizen and he is from India. I have 3 charges all done in 1989 2 cases of prostitution and one for theft. I will disclose my record to immigration but the most important thing is that my fiance does not know about these charges and I do not want him to know so what can I do to assure that during the entire process from the time I sponsor him to the time he gets his green card that my fiance will not know. Is there any way to make sure that everything stays completley confidential and he does not know?

You will not need to disclose this to immigration, unless any of the convictions involved a person under 18 years of age. Your best bet is to speak with and retain an immigration attorney. You also should consider your fiance's background. Are there any issues that should be of concern? For a free consultation, please contact my office at 904-371-3538 or email me at [email protected].
