While Mr. Frankel is a fine attorney, you may also apply for a 10 year resident waiver. There are no employment requirements to this law.

Not unless you qualify for an employment-based non-immigrant visa (unlikely without a bachelor's degree), have an employer wishing to sponsor you for an employment-based immigrant visa (probably would require labor certification and long wait for a visa number) or have appropriate family ties. I am not sure what current immigration status you have to see if it can be extended or changed.
If you are accepted to a college or another qualifying educational program, you may qualify for an F-1 student visa so that might be your best option for now.
Contact an immigration attorney to sort through possible options for you. You can also discuss student visa with the school of your choice.
