Voluntary Departure
Under new Immigration law what is the benefit of requesting voluntary departure over deportation or removal.

The only "new" immigration laws that impact voluntary departure are about 4 years old now so they're not new. Voluntary departure is infinitely better than deportation or removal because now, a removal (deportation) bars you from being re-admitted to the U.S. for 10 years (sometimes 5 or 20 years or more). With a voluntary departure, you can be re-admitted legally anytime after you have left the U.S. in accordance with the order and can prove so.
