Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

my wife keeps me hostage!!!! help !!!

this is continued to my earlier post - right now i'm in the waiting for my 10 years Green Card, i have the 2 years one which expired and now i believe i need to pass one more interview which will make my green card permanent. that interview is the fact i'm worried. if i divorce her how will i get the conditioned card permanent without been married...she knows that and she is playing the situation really well ,having me stuck with her paying for her and her kid . she says she doesn't love me any more but doesn't mind me working like a dog and paying like a sucker. i just can't take this any more ! if i have any legal rights which will keep me staying in the USA please please let me know!

In brief it is possible for you to obtain a removal of the conditions on your residence even if the marriage is no longer valid. I would need more information regarding this case before I can comment on it properly.

Getting the permanent 10 year green card will be based on your situation when you return for the interview with your wife.

However, all circumstances will be taken into consideration if they are mentioned to the immigration service.

As a spouse (husband) you do have legal rights under US law which protects you from being abused.
