Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

Withdrawing obligation for support after permanent green card

I am convinced my husband (now estranged) married me primarily to get a green card. I was under the impression, until reading this web site, that once a permanent green card has been issued there was really nothing that could be done in cases of fraud (a customer representative at the immigration toll-free number told me this).

I have been clinically depressed over being used by this man, and the thought that I might have to support him if he becomes a public charge. What legal steps do I need to take to seek justice? Please help!
