Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York
affidavit
Auto insurance company wants me to sign an affidavit stating ''insured did not possess any other insurance which would indemnify in case of accident resulting in property, personal injury or medical expenses for ourslves or others'' Would accidental death life insurance carried by deceased policy holder qualify as this type of insurance?

That is an other insurance statement, designed to prevent fraudulent claims against auto carriers. If you are discussing a life insurance policy, no it is not the kind of policy that would indemnify for an auto accident.
