Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York

auto accident and claimsI

i was in an auto accident(other party ran the stop sign)and was 6 months pregnant, however i am from south carolina and do not know how to get compensated. my hospital bills are 4900 dollars, plus time loss from work,etc. i was only able to visit my obstetrician at the time for medical attention due to the pregnancy. what can i do to be compensated being that the accident was in new york and i live in south carolina. i tried to contact the other party's insurance company but they are not responding.

NY is a no fault auto insurance state. The host vehicles' insurance carrier pays for hospital, medical & lost income benefits. A claim for personal injury against the negligent party must meet the legal definition of "serious injury". Since I practice in both Florida & NY I can help you.
