Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York

Auto insurance family personal information?

Do you have to give to the insurance company everyones age and drivers license to the insurance company even if you will not be driving their car? My sons insurance company stated that this is a new law and that they must have this information. I have a clean license and so does my daughter and my son. I am interested in knowing if they are just making this up. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Re: Auto insurance family personal information?

The carrier may know who lives in the household and who may be driving the car on a regular basis..the rest is fishing as I could drive the car with your permission and consent and be covered in an accident through your policy.

Good Luck
