Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York
I bumped into another car while driving a rental. There was no visible damage on either car, but the other party has filed a claim with their insurance company and I have to pay about $2000.
I assume the other party has taken advantage of the situation to fix other stuff on his car.
After ignoring it for a while, now they sent a License suspension request to my state DMV.
Is my license going to be suspended, or can I safely ignore this? Should I just pay?
- I don't have any car insurance myself since I don't own a car
Thanks

If your car rental was by credit card; your credit card company should cover you. You should have an exucuse for failure to notify the car rental company and credit card company of your delay in informing them of the accident.
