Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York
Cancellation
What gives an insurance company the right to come by and tell you to cut down this or fix that or they will cancell your policy? I mean I cant go around and walk through peoples yard to see what their home looks like. They didn't have permission to walk on my property,let alone look around.

They are assessing a risk ... that is what insurance is...you gamble there will be an accident, they gamble that there will not be. They are changing the odds to favor them.
As to a cancellation, I am not certain, perhaps you mean non-renewal. It is not the same.
