Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York
no car insurance
My parked car was hit by an unisured and unregistered vehicle. The car was totaled. My insurance company paid off the $10,000 that was left on the loan. I'm now without a vehicle. My insurance company is going after the unisured driver to recoup their loss. Do I have any recourse against the driver. At the time of the accident the driver was sited by the police for driving an uninsured vehicle but since the driver submitted a bogus insurance card he was not cited for that infraction.
Thank you

Re: no car insurance
The only thing you can really do is sue like the the insurance company
to recover out of pocket loss.
