Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York
Fire-Homeowners Insurance
Is there any recourse in being mislead by an insurance agent to reimburse us for losses we incurred by a fire of our boat on our property? We were told at the time we purchased our homeowners policy that our boat would be provided as part of the coverage. The insurance company is the same from the start but the agency has since changed due to a buy out. We spoke to our current agent and insurance company about the coverage only to find out it does not exist.

Re: Fire-Homeowners Insurance
Unless you can prove the agent's error I doubt anyone will listen to you. Read your policy to see what is covered.
