Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York

Government is saying I dont exist

Im not sure what type of law this falls under. I was born in Brooklyn Ny in 1984. The day I was born there was a nurses strike at the hospital, also I think there is a case of insurance fraud involved. I have a social security card and i even took a DNA test with my mother. I tried self representation and the office for self representation at the courthouse said to get an attorney. I cant afford an attorney and im trying to gather as much information as I can before I look into an attorney. Dept of vital statistics says they have someone with my information but not my name. Also I went to the hospital and they said they lost the birth book for that Month for that year. Any information will be greatfully appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what the problem is, why it is a problem for you, and what you want to accomplish? It seems to me there are alot of benefits to not legally existing!

Why is this causing a problem for you? Let's start there. Do you need a birth certificate for something?

If you are trying to prove when and where you were born, here are some things that may be useful in the proof (1) an affidavit from your mother that you were born on a certain date, at a certain time, at a certain hospital, and that Dr. _____ delivered you; (2) an affidavit from your mother's obstetrician or whoever the Dr. was that really did deliver you, swearing that he delivered you on a certain date at a certain place; (3) other hospital records besides the birth book - records of your mother being admitted to the hospital? medical records and notes from those dates which can be doctor's notes, nurses notes, lab techinican reports - hospitals keep tons of that stuff in storage in sophisticated archive systems.

If you can articulate exactly what problems this is causing for you, maybe I can offer more concrete and effective answers.
