Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York
Someone else hit me and their insurance co said my vehicle is a total loss. I bought the vehicle 134 days ago and made improvements to it (which I have all of the receipts). Am I legally entitled to the exact cost of the purchase and the repairs? The co offered me $9200 and the purchase price alone was $10,700, with repairs I had $12,500 into it.
