Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York

On The Job Accident

I was in an on the job auto accident November 2001. I was driving an ambulance that i checked out but the breaks went out while I was driving and we slammed into the back of a mini-van. I found out a few days later that someone put the wrong fluid where the break fluid goes. I want to know if this will affect my driving record? I'd like to buy a car in a few months will this affect my future insurance? Also I resigned from the position in January 2002 because of pain I was having in my shoulders. I was told the company could not be touched. Would I have been able to sue them for negligence?

Re: On The Job Accident

1. You have a workers compensation claim against your employer.

2. If a third party put in the wrong fluid (gas station) you may also have a negligence claim.
