Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York
I paid for a maximum $233,000 flood benefit for the last 12yrs without making any claims. My home was literally washed away by super storm sandy. I came back to only a hole in the ground where my house used to be. The insurance company is telling me they have to stick build my home to see what it would cost to rebuild. Shouldn't I be entitled to the maximum since they have been accepting payments based on 233,000 max.

Read your policy. It should state you are entitled to the cost to rebuild up to $233,000.
