puff back claim
will insurance co. pay homeowner directly for damage or do you have to clean things first then get paid for invoices

Ordinarily the insurance carrier will have an adjuster assess the damage first, then evaluate based on estimates how much they will pay you. After the evaluation is performed by the adjuster, you need to see what the insurance carrier believes you are entitled to. If the amount is acceptable, then it's up to you if you want to wait for a check, or hire somebody to do the clean up in anticipation of getting your check.
