Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York

uninsured driver

I was in a car accident where i was injured but my vehicle was uninsured. the other driver is taking full responsibility for the accident because my car wasnt in motion at the time of the accident in fat that driver turned on the wrong side of the road can i still sue eventhough my vehicle was uninsured
