Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York

A used Atv

I purchased a Used Atv at a yard sale, The Owner I got it from Bought it used from the New paper, We both paid market Value, Ended up the Machine at some point was stolen from the Original Owner... I am out the $$ and the Atv So who Pays me back??

You can sue the fellow you bought it from and he can sue the guy he got it from. Someone however is very likely to get "screwed". Nothing can be done about that. You might try contacting the Crime Victims Compensation Board in Albany to see if you qualify for their help.
