Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York
crocheted designs copyright ?
I was told that crocheted patterns are copyrighted and one cannot use tem witout the permisssion of the copyright holder.what if i were to crocet items made from the copyrighted patterns and then sell those items , would i be in violation of copyright law?

Yes. It would be copyright infringement to use such a pattern in a product for sale. Crochet your own pattern or obtain permission (the copyright owner will probably charge very little) if you want to avoid infringement.
