Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York
My daughter(minor) took some pictures for the ads for a clothing company. They did not allow me or her manager in the room where they were shooting. Now they are asking us to sign the release form, and won't show us the pictures. Do we have any rights as to see the pictures before signing the release forms... just to make sure they are ok to release?
1 Answer from Attorneys
As a Franchise Attorney I can say you most definitely have a right to see the pictures, and should, before signing any release. Also, they have no right to use the pictures without a signed release form. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
