Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York

This site is a message board, commonly called a forum, where users post comments relating to science fiction animated series. It has a critical element, which gets it into the very, very gray arena of "fair use."

If a post takes significant text from a prior work, then that post may infringe; however, once again, the issue of "fair use" would have to be determined.

Does the site itself infringe copyright? My guess is "no," but that is subject, again, to a fair-use determination.
