a loan towards parts

I lent a mechanic 2500.00 to help him out of a jam and he wrote out a reciet saying the money would go towards parts for my classic car.Well he has refused to pay back the loan and refuses to buy parts for my classic car

you can take him to small claims court, which should properly cover cases in that amount... there is no attorney necessary, simply file your claim, the cost is extremely reasonable, and the process no very complex... you should be able to secure a judgment there in order to ensure he pays what you're rightly entitled to
