Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York
I am a not-for-profit organization operating a website that is a "media watchdog". I wish to use the name of a deceased celebrity in promoting my site. I do receive a salary for my work. Do I have to pay royalties or other fees to the estate of the (recently) deceased celebrity?
