Patent for news

I want to sell an important news to a news agency.

Can I get patent for news?

Are there other legal ways to make sure getting the money after giving the news to the news agency? I appreciate your time and consideration.

There's no legal impediment to you selling news. However, I doubt any reputable news organization would pay money for news. It's against their policy as it could otherwise have a taint to it.

Assuming your information qualifies for a payment from a tabloid, you can enter into a contract with them after negotiations.
