Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York

I had private videos of me and my friends posted on Youtube. An account was also created on Myspace, linking the stolen videos along with some of my private writing. I contacted support from both websites, but would like to know what my options are going through a Law Firm.

You can sue the person who stole the videos if you can prove they were private and stolen.
