Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York

hi, i have a few questions regarding the legal issues involved in running a website/services. At this stage, we know that we should have terms and condition, the privacy policy and probably should apply for a copyright for the website as well. my question is, do people normally pay for a lawyer to write our terms and condition, as well as the privacy policy? if we should pay for a lawyer to do this, what field should this lawyer be from? thanks for your time.

Yes, people usually have a lawyer either draft or at least review the terms and conditions, privacy policy and COPPA compliance statement. These need not be terribly expensive.

We've done several sites' reviews, and would be happy to discuss your situation.

The other attorney is right on point. Don't try to do this yourself. Consult with an intellectual property attorney in your area for specifics.
