Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York
I sell t-shirts with my drawings on them on Ebay. Recently I got suspended for selling a t-shirt with my drawing of the band Aerosmith. Am I not allowed to sell my drawings of famous people?
Thank you

What you did is considered copyright infringement. There are exceptions to this rule and it is called the "fair use doctrine." If you were to sell shirts with the likeness of -let's say Abraham Lincoln- then it would fall under an exception to the copy right laws. Other examples are: Michael Jordan no, President Obama yes. Copying someone else's depiction of President Obma, no. Good luck.
