Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York
I want to start a video production business for average people. They may want specific copy-written material such as music, film footage, etc. included in their custom projects. I will be profiting from the production service provided to them, so am I liable for any infringement if I use these materials? Obviously the projects won't be for broadcast, only personal use by the clients.

Whether you are profiting or not you are liable for any infringement if you use copyrighted material belonging to others without permission.
