Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York
I am starting an E- Commerce website with a twilight theme to it. I will be selling products that will have twilight related things on them. I would like to know if i need to ask permission from the publisher of the books or the author in order to have her work on my products? Can I copyright my website even though her work will be displayed on the products.

Are you selling Twilight authorized merchandise, or are they your own creations? If the latter, then you will probably be infringing certain trademarks held by the owner of the Twilight trademarks. Securing a copyright to your website may still be possible, but you could not claim copyright to any designs or logos that are owned by third parties.
