Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York
I am a visual artist. In one of my video pieces, I use the image of a Green Card. I replaced all personal information on it with black rectangle boxes but I would like t be sure that it is not against any law to use this kind of imagery.
Thank you

A green card is a government-issued identification card, yes? Intellectual property rights do not attach to government documents, including ID cards. If the green card you're talking about is the one I'm thinking of, you should be fine.
