Does a WGA(Writer's Guild of America) registration hold up in court, in a copyright infringement suit?

Yes, depending upon the other evidence.
It would probably be evidence of the existence of the filing as of the date it's registered. I never cease to be amazed at how many people pay the $22 for a non-member filing when, for an additional $13 the person can file electronically with the US Copyright Office. One major benefit of copyright is that you actually can GO to court which you wouldn't be able to do with a mere WGA filing. So, unless the work wouldn't be accepted for copyright registration, you may as well save yourself the $22, pay the $35 filing fee for a copyright application and get all the benefits copyright conveys.
