Legal Question in International Law in New York
Is there help?
Im a 24 year old women and I am almost 6 months pregnant. The father of my child has legal problems in a different state, the case is 17 years old and involves what was a minor at the time. Basically he was 16 a dated a 13 year old, their moms were friends then got into a fight and suddenly the mom of the girl didnt like their relationship and at 17 she pressed charges against him, it took two years and 7 attempts to get him on rape just to at 19 get him on indesent assault and battery on a child under 14. He did his time in prison for the crime he didnt even commit, and was labled a level 3 sex offender, as up until last year 2006 he registered but then got sick of the harrasment and people going after his older brother thinking it was him, came to ny for what was suppose to be a very short visit but got stuck and missed his court date for not registering, he has major depression and suicide problems and would prob not even like me doing this but I need to know is there anything I can do to get him out of jail time and just get him the help he needs, he is no threat to anyone but himself he doesnt need bars he needs a doctor. I know clearing his name completly is prob out of the question but is there help at all?
