Legal Question in International Law in New York

legal help for my wife and 8 years old son

My wife and my 8 years old son travelled in china. The local customs officers detained them. the officers claimed that my wife are involved in smuggling. Her husband has business with a chinese company that are investigated by their government. Her husband has nomal trading with them. Her husband told officers over their that they can not detained my wife and her child. Her husband should be responsible. His wife and his son are innocent.My son are very restless and mad. He can not go back to school on time. He can not stay with her mother. I really need help. I almost collapsed to see whatever happened to my family.
