Legal Question in Investment Law in New York
$50,000. joint investment account
My husband and I opened a safe interest bearing joint investment account in 2004. It was a nest egg and was supposed to be gathering interest. By chance I checked the mail going out and discovered my husband has closed the original account without my knowing. He had a paper going out with my forged signiture with the current account # stating that I wished to turn the account to soley his name. I called the current account investment manager (whom I have never met) and confronted him. He said he was just sending my husband a form he requested. How can I protect my part of the investment and is it possible to withdraw my half legally? I do not trust my husband.
Thank You,
