Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in New York
parental responsibility
If my 18 year old daughter moves out what is my legal responsibility for what she does , for example a car accident whether she is on my policy or her owm would i be responsible? I live in NY state

If she is on your policy, then you are responsible. If she was on her own, but there were other cars of relatives that could be stacked the plaintiff would try to stack the policies. Additionally, you are legally responsible for her legal representation until she is 21 should she commit a crime.
