Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
Age Discrimination Wrongful Termination
I just received my ''right to sue'' from the EEOC. I feel that the determination was not based on any evidence nor was I asked to provide any documentation. Not only was this a matter of age discrimination, but clearly a wrongful termination and breach of contract. (I belonged to a union)There are too many nuances regarding this matter to fully explain. I have copies of work schedules showing I was replaced by two 20 year olds (I am 64). Is it possible to find an attorney on a contingency?

While we would be more than happy to discuss this matter with you, you may be entitled to legal representation through your Union.
Have you contacted your Union and asked if they have an attorney for you? Several union contracts provide for free legal consultations or representation for its members. If none is provided to you or if you have a question regarding obtaining legal services from your Union, or if you would like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can call my office to schedule an appointment for a free consultation or in the alternative, I can be reached for on-phone consultation at 1-516-256-7737.
