if a supervisor addresses supposedly unprofessional attire with one employee, but other employees have consistantly dressed inappropriately, would that be considered a form of discrimination?

Re: attire

The answer to your question is probably not. The law does not provide a remedy for discrimination based on clothing. However, if the supervisor is singling out the employee because of a different reason, e.g. sex, race, national origin, and only using the clothing as an excuse, then this may be a case of illegal discrimination.
