Can my boss sue me for getting fired?

The President of my company has been trying to get information out of me to fire my boss. He asks me questions and I answer him honestly. My boss does not do her job. I basically do it. The president asked me if I would ''put it in writing''. I really don't want to get involved with a law suit if she finds out that I was the cause of her termination. Is it possible she can sue me if she finds out? I really don't want to put anything in writing but am afraid if I don't, he will retaliate toward me. He has been keeping track of her work and telling me that he knows that he will be firing her for her job performance. When I asked why he wanted something in writing, he said it would help if she became vandictive and he had one of her employee's put some information on her in writing. I know ALOT of things that she has done to compromise the company. But I am scared. Please let me know if I can be sued for anything if I write something up. I am in New York.

Sure you can be sued, the question is can you be sued successfully. If you are factual, and your statements are verifiable then you cannot be held liable. However if you decide to go forward (you have no obligation to do so) you may want to have your boss sign an representation and indemnifcation agreement, so that they would cover any legal fees and court costs you might incur as a result of a lawsuit.
