Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
my brother in law has worked 20 years in a hotel, where he was valued highly by the owner. when he died his children have taken over and now put in a general manager over him, a position he was verbally promised. He now has to report to someone 17 years his junior. Whats his position - he is totally demoralised as this new gm tries to pick his brains. He is a proud man, what should he do?

Sounds like he should be looking for other employment before they find reasons to fire him.
