if i am an assistant varsity football coach is it legal to give private football lessons to players from opposing teams both in and out of my district?I also teach for the district

Illegal? No probably not. Ethical? Maybe. Depends on the contract language.

While it may be legal, meaning no criminal liability, would likely attach it would seem that there is an inherent conflict of interest. At the very least I would suggest that you contact your employer school district for approval.
