Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Disability Benefits

I have worked for verizon for 26 years. Last year I retired because of medical reasons. Because I retired on disability I am entitled to 52 weeks of pay. This is a contractual benefit and I belong to a union.(cwa) Verizon paid me for 11 weeks and then decided that I was not going to get that benefit. They owe me over 30 thousand dollars. I am loosing my house. I already lost my good credit. I am being sued by my vet, the drug store, the grocery store, and support enforcement. I am afraid to answer my door. I am afraid to my phone. The union does not seem to want to help me. This is a hugh co. and cwa is a hugh union. I need to know how I can sue them? And I need to know if it would be against the law to post this information everywhere and anywhere?

Re: Disability Benefits

Is there a collective bargaining agreement in place? What is the grievance procedure? The union has a duty to fairly represent you. I would be cautious in publishing any information about this dispute. Feel free to call me at (212) 867-4753.
